The Nike Air Max 97 Is Releasing In The Air Max 1’s Original “Royal”

Following the same concept as the Nike Air Max 97 in the “Neon” colorway borrowed from the Air Max 95, the shoe is getting another look inspired by an iconic Air Max colorway that came before it: the Air Max 1 in its “Royal” edition. The reference to the original Air Max sneaker is easy to see on this Air Max 97, featuring a blue bottom panel with white and grey filling out the rest of the upper. Does this mean more Air Max 97’s inspired by other iconic Air Max colorways are on the way? We’ll have to wait and see, and we’ll also have to wait for a release date for this “Royal” edition.
