Nike Revisits The First COMME des Garcons Collaboration With the Vapormax SE

The Nike Vapormax silhouette was introduced to the world early in 2017 as part of a collaboration with the illustrious COMME des Garcons fashion label in a laceless, slip-on construction. The Swoosh is bringing that same construction back with two nearly identical models that are free from any CDG affiliation, donned the Vapormax SE. Debuting in a “Pure Platinum” and “Triple Black” colorway, the SE is outfitted with Nike’s signature Flyknit material with translucent bubble units that match the corresponding color scheme of each selection. The sans-laces concept of this modernized design furthers the changing ideals of today’s sneaker industry that is shifting its focus toward an easier and more comfortable fit, while still preserving the shoe’s aesthetic makeup. Both new offerings will arrive at Nike Sportswear retailers as well as Nike.com and the SNKRS app tomorrow, December 7th, with an MSRP of $200.
