Update: The Nike VaporMax in Pure Platinum/University Red releases on December 28th, 2017 for $190.

While Nike may be adding new-look designs with updated constructions to its Vapormax line, it will never forget the original silhouette that led to its global popularity. The original Nike Vapormax is back once again with another tribute to its Air Max 1 predecessor with this grey and red colorway. Fully adorned with Flyknit uppers, this design sports a primarily grey color scheme with a vibrant red swoosh all atop a blacked out sole unit. When the lights go off, the Vapormax writing emblazoned on the heel aluminates with an iridescent glow for some added flare. This pair is currently running the circuit at retailers in Japan, so it is safe to assume it will arrive at Nike stockists in the US in early 2018 for $190 USD.
