Nike Vapormax “Chinese New Year” Is Coming Next Week

Nike’s Chinese New Year themed Vapormax rendition features a mixture of black and multi-color Flyknit that separates it from the rest of the Swoosh brand’s release centered around the holiday. While most feature an explosion of fireworks or an embroidered floral detail, this offering keeps it a bit more simple and traditional by just adding an attractive new colorway. There are no special logos or any references to the CNY theme, but the offering does boast multiple 3M hits, with reflective detailing coming on the midfoot Swoosh as well as its heel branding. Another intriguing design element, is the fact that each insole dons a different color, with the left dressed in orange and the right sporting a mixture of blue and green.

This celebratory Vapormax offering can be picked up from Nike Sportswear retailers on January 18th for $190 USD. Would you rather the CNY aesthetic be more obvious or do you prefer when Nike keeps it simple?
