Nike Brings Back The Air Max 95 With An Important OG Detail

Nike Brings Back The Air Max 95 With An Important OG Detail

Nike’s Air Max 95 has released in a veritable cornucopia of new styles over the summer months. From satin uppers to all-over Just Do It prints, the classic sneaker has seen many a fresh take-but even 23 years later, there’s still nothing like a pair with OG detailing.

Thankfully, this “Solar Red” pair that’s slated to release mid-July boasts time-honored detailing in spades, as an original gradient pattern appears on the upper’s paneling: the shoe starts with a light dusty grey up top before fading to a medium grey and then to a dark granite directly above the midsole. The majority of the upper’s colorful flair upper arrives via the bright red lace loops, exposed under the white mesh surrounding the throat. Further red detailing arrives on the tongue’s Air Max patch and the small swoosh on the medial heel, and a dark grey toe cap ties the upper together. A black midsole, red Air Max unit and black outsole complete the contrasting old-school look, but most importantly, don’t forget the PSI markings on the exposed center. This Air Max 95 is available at EU retailers like BSTN now, and has a scheduled release date of July 19th at US retailers like Finish Line.
