STAMPD Reveals Upcoming Puma Suede “88-18”

In celebration of 50 illustrious years of the iconic Puma Suede, West coast lifestyle brand STAMPD’s Chris Stamp is set to lend his design styling to the influential silhouette. Said to represent the legacy of the silhouette as well as the future of its progression, the upper of the Puma Suede “88-18” comes dressed in premium suede produced in Italy to convey the luxurious nature of the sneaker.

“In 1988, 20 years after the Suede launch, I got my hands on my first pair,” Stamp said. “The brands I’ve been fortunate to align with are brands I grew up idolizing – brands that inspired me. This one hit home and it was important to make it special from the sole to laces.

STAMPD takes pride in its propensity for revolutionizing streetwear, and has now added a clean sophistication to the Suede with a unique two-shoes-in-one design. The top half of its upper comes decked out in premium finished suede done up in black while the remnants usher in a neutral grey tone, meant to resemble and unfinished design with rough edges. Its lateral heel boasts categorical information from this collab, ranging from its style name to the height of its heel and lateral side. Its monicker derives from the first pair of Suedes that Stamp got his hands on in ’88, to this illustrious project he can now put his name on thirty years later in 2018. Enjoy a detailed look at the Puma Suede 88-18 here and head over to STAMPD.com or STAMPD in LA to pre-purchase this pair on July 28th before its global launch on August 4th.
