Nike Brings Back The OG “Spruce Lime” Colorway On The Air Max 90/1

The Nike Air Max 90/1 has been enjoying a successful comeback in 2018, as its fusion aesthetic—ahead of its time upon the original release in 1992—fits in perfectly with the current sneaker landscape. Featuring a sleek Air Max 1 upper with the distinctive tooling of the Air Max 90, the hybrid silhouette has mainly been arriving in homage colorways, the latest of which is this “Spruce Lime.” A spin-off of an OG Air Max 90 colorway that only re-released once (overseas in 2008), the shoe utilizes white mesh for the underlays and a light tan suede for the overlays. The mudguard is wrapped in a rich teal leather, as are the top eyelets on the lacing system, while a striking lime green appears on the midfoot swoosh and heel branding. A two-tone white and grey midsole with a grey Air Max unit completes the fusion look, and the shoe’s outsole features a final touch of teal and grey. These fusion/homage kicks are available now at Nike Sportswear retailers the likes of Premier for $140 USD.
