The Don C-designed Jordan Legacy 312 — a high top silhouette that fuses key elements from the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3, and Alpha Force together — has been a lightning rod for controversy since it was first unveiled back in March. Proponents of the shoe lauded its “updated classic” look and premium quality, while detractors derided it for being too loud and overbearing, but now it’s arriving in a colorway that just might warm up even the most ardent critics. After five different pairs dropped over the course of the summer — two in July and three in August — the Legacy is set to return this fall, as a new take on the beloved OG “Black Cement” colorway will be hitting shelves in October. Drawing a fair share of inspiration from the iconic “Black Cement” AJ3, the new Legacy features tumbled black leather on the upper, while a white Swoosh, black and white midfoot strap and black/white heel tab offer retro branding. The lateral midfoot is swathed in elephant print, and the look is then completed by a two-tone white and black midsole with a grey outsole. These homage-packed Legacy 312s are set to release October 1st in full family sizes, but if you’re not in the mood to wait pairs are also available early on Footlocker.
