Upcoming Air Jordan Retro “Tinker Series” Remembers Michael Jordan’s Favorite Sneakers

Tinker Hatfield’s influence on the history of Nike is immeasurable. His footwear has transcended generations, but even during the present time, his work was getting plenty of love. This upcoming quartet of Air Jordan Retro releases are inspired by some of his most famous works that were personal favorites of none other than Michael Jordan himself, the legendary basketball player who worked closely with the footwear designer for decades. Beginning this Saturday, October 6th, Jordan Brand will release a string of footwear unofficially dubbed the “Tinker Series” as a tribute to the architect’s finest work corresponding to the year of the Air Jordan. The Air Jordan 6 from 1991 is inspired by the Air Trainer SC II High, the Air Jordan 10 by the Huarache Light, the Air Jordan 3 by the Air Trainer 1, and finally the Air Jordan 8 by the Air Raid. See a quick rundown of these four releases ahead and stay tuned for the official releases as the Holiday season continues.

In other 2018 Jordan release info, the Air Jordan 11 “Platinum Tint” is set to release on October 27th, while the famed Concord Jordan 11 is slated for an early December return.
