Ben Felderstein Nike’s experimentation with its Sportswear subsidiary has been well documented in 2018. On top of the numerous hybridized designs that have made their way to the public – i.e. the Vapormax Plus and the Air Max 90/1 – we have seen the Beaverton Brand add new logos and branding to a number of its classics the likes of the Air Max 97. One of the most striking examples of this comes by way of the AM 97 Premium “Overbranding” that sees boldly emblazoned Air Max hits on its throat and heel, and new look NIKE embroidery on the lower midfoot on both its lateral and medial side. Pairs will be arriving globally at NSW retailers on November 21st, but they are currently available at Rock City Kicks a bit early.
