Ross Dwyer There’s arguably no Air Max silhouette more widely beloved than the Air Max 97. The Christian Tresser-designed, bullet-train inspired running masterpiece has been a focal point of Nike’s lifestyle release efforts over the past few years, and shows no signs of slowing down in 2019 thanks to new-but-inherently-familiar colorways like this grey makeup. The mudugard, layered upper panels, and tongue are dressed in a toned-down steel grey, while the underlays and swooping reflective stripes feature a bold silver for an interesting sandwiched tonal design. The striking and speedy kicks are then completed with a white midsole and grey Air Max cushioning unit.
