Closer Look At The Upcoming adidas LXCON

It’s an interesting time for adidas Originals. From Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy line to new silhouettes like the adidas Nite Jogger, the Trefoil Brand’s lifestyle division’s got a plethora of distinctive chips on the table and now they’re introducing another eye-catching design into the fold: the adidas LX Con. First spotted on actor, director, and street style savant Jonah Hill‘s feet at last year’s Hypefest, the LX Con (also called the Lexicon) aims for a fashion angle that’s decidedly more Y-3 than Ultra Boost. The new silhouette features a lightweight mesh upper with delicately stitched cloth stripes and a technical lacing system — one that calls upon plastic tubes running from the toebox to the heel and around the throat. A chunky adiPRENE midsole with a high-cut piece on the lateral foxing then rounds off the hybrid look. So far, the LX Con has appeared in both a timeless black/white/gum, a ’90s-esque sand/purple/teal/red, and a sporty white/blue grey, both likely set to drop during the first quarter of 2019 leading in the Summer months.
