The ranks of Nike SB’s Air Jordan 1 collabs are continuing to grow, as after a Lakers-colored pair was recently unveiled we now have a first look at a clean new bone and black makeup. Unlike its Lake Show-inspired counterpart, this Air Jordan 1 opts for a straightforward palette, using a bone-colored leather base with soft grey overlays for tonal detailing. Black accents then appear on the midfoot Swoosh, throat, and collar. Though the shoe may seem somewhat simple at first glance, further investigation reveals that it’s anything but. In true Air Jordan 1 SB fashion, it also features hidden wear-away detailing — both on the Swoosh, where a bright pink is visible around the edges, and on each grey piece, which will reveal a bold orange. Finishing flashes of SB-themed flair are then provided by an altered tongue tag and a hot pink insole with green branding. As the Jordan 1 has a long and rich history with skateboarding, it’s certainly compelling to see how the Swoosh Brand’s two powerful subsidiaries aim to further the crossover of hoops and skate during 2019. Grab a first look at this new color combo below, expect a drop this April, and stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for further information as it’s available.
