The Jordan Trunner is Jordan Brand’s longest-tenured training shoe line, and now the do-it-all sneakers are getting a modern-day makeover thanks to a new Trunner NXT React model. If the silhouette looks oddly familiar to you, it’s likely because JB’s man of the moment Travis Scott took to his Instagram last October to premier a copiously colored iteration complete with Cactus Jack branding. Now, a new season is upon us, and we have a first look at a never-before-seen colorway that offers more wild styling and striking detailing.

The shoe’s one-piece mesh upper features a compelling marbled fade that combines white, black and red, and also features a large grey Jumpman logo on the lateral quarter/modern-day Trunner branding on the tongue. Although the upper is certainly eye-catching, the ultra-unique React midsole is the real MVP here. Although it starts with a simple shape towards the forefoot, it gradually grows in width as you get closer and closer to the shoe’s rear half, culminating in a five-pronged jagged edge that juts out aggressively behind the heel, making for a style that almost looks like a rocket ship in flight when viewed from the bottom. The look is then completed by cut-out plastic overlays — clear on the forefoot, bright blue on the rear — that add a mountainous new-age touch. A release date has not yet been announced, but you can check out these new-jack Jordans directly below, and stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for further updates as they’re available.
