Off-White and Nike Expand Their Women’s Collection With An Aggressive Waffle Racer

With Off-White and Nike announcing their maximalist redesigns as part of the “Athlete in Progress” collection, many thought the Terra Kiger 5 was the only silhouette to take on the aggressive modifications, though, thanks to information by PY_LEAKS, a forthcoming Waffle Racer has been revealed. Showing itself at a perfect time between sacai’s gracefully frankenstein’d LDWaffle and UNDERCOVER’s monstrous Daybreak, the retro-esque runner arms itself with the eccentric language of Virgil Abloh. Track spikes akin to the darkest nightmare’s ripple soles as well as colorful embellishments — of course, complete with the signature zip tie — add a note of bold to a surprisingly muted palette comprised primarily of whites and light tans. An overlaid mesh covers the face of the entire model, including overlays and all, allowing one to only catch a glimpse of its metallic swoosh and luxe suedes.
