Michael Le Touted as one of the strongest collaborators to grace the GEL Lyte 3 around its heyday, Reigning Champ reunites with ASICS to bring back its strong neutral tones along the uppers of the GEL Kayano 5 OG and the Kayano 25. Representing both the past and present, the two forthcoming pairs connect in palette though are executed in ways quite different from one another. The revived classic features nostalgic colored toes — a la some of the greatest in runner’s past — with black suede dominating much of the overlays and underlying mesh. Towards the rear face a neutral tan lies, adding quite an overt contrast to the rest of the construction, flipping once translated over to the more focused runner whose mesh and shimmering heel cap stand as a complete inverse of its coinciding model.
