Unlike his Jack Purcell that took on two sides of an American-dressed coin, his new line-up of Chuck 70s just barely resembles its starting point. The high-top construction remains the the most recognizable component loosely translated over as the nubuck uppers arrive defaced by minimal star logo appliques and a triangular patch denoting the “I AM THE SOLOIST” tagline in mirrored effect. Toe caps are smoothened out in a clean gloss with most of the eyes surely landing on the modified sole unit whose additional molds, extend back cap, and extra branding notes create a pair that blends in with the designer’s mainline.
