This Color-Blotted Nike Air Max 97 Is Inspired By Chicago

Summertime calls for bright colors and bold patterns, so Nike has equipped the ever-popular Air Max 97 with a new tie-dye makeup, complete with details that nod to the city of Chicago. The upper’s base features a vivid multicolor print that utilizes bright sherbert tones for an airbrush-style look. Meanwhile, the bullet train-inspired overlays and mudguard are dressed in a stark white for contrast. The aforementioned Chicago-inspired details then arrive via a powder blue/red city flag-style Nike print on the insole, a blue peace sign overlaid with a red Swoosh on the tongue, and a soft blue/red heel tab. Down below, things are kept light and lovely with a white midsole, silver Air Max cushioning unit, and an icy blue translucent outsole. These whimsical-yet-meaningful Nike shoes will release alongside a similarly-styled Air Force 1 Low on Nike.com in the coming weeks, so enjoy a full set of official images directly below while you wait.
