The KD 12 has been known to draw its inspirations from Durant’s favorite things about his childhood — ranging from music to movies and more — so it’s a very real possibility that this makeup is a homage to the legendary Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement.” The lightweight knit upper is dressed in a stark black, and then accented by a marbled cement grey print on both the lateral side Swoosh and the Flyknit tongue. Pops of bright red are visible on the tongue tag, lateral heel, and medial midfoot’s text branding, while down below a cement grey midsole is surrounded by a translucent overlay and outsole.
