Between all sportswear brands across the board, the competition for who owns the most comfortable cushioning systems is a constant topic of conversation. While many sneakerheads would agree that classic silhouettes are always going to be valued most, it’s important to look towards the evolution of sneakers, and that’s exactly what Nike did when they introduced their latest technological advancement with their Joyride cushioning system. The Swoosh has officially revealed their upcoming lifestyle Joyride NSW Setter model in a black and neon makeover. The upper begins with a black mesh base that features a sock-like asymmetrical lacing system, and is accented with striking hits of neon green found throughout the lateral overlays and heel. Subtle branding is present by way of grey Swoosh hits on the toe box, text on the tongue, and tiny Swoosh logos on the heel blocks. Black panels on the mudguard, heel and lateral mid-foot provide a lightweight lockdown effect, and are met with a pale yellow perforated midsole for a sporty aesthetic. The transparent outsole comes held together with built-in Joyride pods fully packed with neon green and orange TPE beads for additional pop and responsive comfort. Expect these to drop on Nike.com and hit the shelves of Nike retailers in the coming weeks.
