One of the few highs among the “FEARLESS ONES” collection revealed in full only days ago, the Air Jordan 1 with its split colored detailing is much more than a fusion of two iconic colors. Rather, it goes much deeper with inspiration lead by the famous Les Twins, individually known as Laurent and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois. True multi-hyphenates with a grasp not only on dance but producing, modeling, designing, and much more, the two, since their signing with Jordan brand around two years ago, have only had a brief moment in the spotlight of the sneaker game with that slowly beginning to change as collaborations ramp up to 6th gear. A near perfect translation of the two’s personal interests, one half of the silhouette is dressed fully in Chicago tones while the opposite prefers the cool hits of a bright UNC blue. Both, however, are fully finished in patent leather in what is effectively a small nod to their similarities while at the same time their difference. Bottoms stay a traditional white midsole with red bottom while the Wings iconography at the ankles out within a glossy window; Nike Air at the tongue lies in contrast patch finish off atop a bed of nylon while insoles prints arrive maximally done with a print of MJ’s Hall of Fame induction speech. Grab an official look here and expect a release to go down at Nike.com on November 2nd.
