The joy of victory and the agony of defeat are all part of the natural cycle of competition. No one roots for injury, especially when it’s as devastating as what Jalen Williams suffered against the Los Angeles Clippers. There’s no real silver lining in a situation like this, but it does speak to how much of a force he’s become with the Thunder that so much coverage has followed confirmation that this will likely end his season entirely.

For the Three Stripes, surely this throws a wrench into their plans as well. Their valuation of the All-NBA wing was evident in the fact that Dub was the unofficial face of the Harden Vol. 1 retro, something of a “passing the torch” moment between an athlete ten shoes into his career and one threatening his first. Indeed, in messaging surrounding Williams’ first overseas brand trip under the German giant, there were some real breadcrumbs that the J. Dub 1 might not be too far off.

Beyond putting his weight behind The Beard’s bring-back, adi has attached Williams to the adidas Crazy Energy+, their latest inline innovation and one that’s already worn by other signees from Sophie Cunningham to Franz Wagner. In this player-exclusive arrangement, an OKC-approved metallic blue and orange base meets flame decals in grey, altogether reflecting the franchise’s home uniforms.

The Jalen Williams x adidas Crazy Energy doesn’t currently have a firm release date but has started to appear on adidas global channels with a “Coming Soon” label. Once released, we’re expecting a $150 MSRP. Catch official images while we sort out finer details.
