After a non-stop set of releases from the “Fearless Ones,” it’s nice to finally see another High, and with its heritage-leaning assortment of colors, it’s only fitting that it be dubbed the Air Jordan 1 “Bloodline.” Continuing the brand’s loosely connected series of history lessons, the latest colorway taps yet another commercial from MJ’s peak as it goes back all the way to 1985 for the “Who Said Man Was Not Meant To Fly” campaign, a slogan that stamps in bold right along the heel of the insole. The shoe itself is predominantly a mix of red, white, and black, though what it does with them is essentially a flip of the iconic Chicago scheme. Where the bright red tone would usually lie, now does black, though the edges feature the louder tone in seldom as it outlines almost every single panels’ edge. Wings insignia as well as the swoosh are darkened fully, leaving little color save for the aforementioned, the tread, the laces.
