Adding to its ever-growing list of impressive lifestyle footwear collaborations, BILLY’S TOKYO celebrates its fifth anniversary with an ASICS GEL-Kayano 5 inspired by the planet Jupiter. Playing with the number “5,” the Japanese retailer has decorated the chunky ASICS silhouette in colors inspired by the Fifth Planet: a satellite image of Jupiter’s nebulous, off-pink surface outfits the shoe’s leather upper, while a rich beige color takes over the tongue, toe, and overlays. To round out its design nods to our solar system’s largest named planet, the ASICS GEL-Kayano 5 has pops of orange on both its DUOMAX-equipped midsole and iconic Tiger logo. There’s no word if this celebratory sneaker will be released outside of BILLY’S TOKYO’s brick-and-mortar outposts, but you can preorder a pair now–ahead of their December 5th release–via BILLY’S for ¥ 15,000.
