As they arrive on their 20th anniversary, Sneakersnstuff is slowly rises up the ranks as a full-fledged institution, offering up some of the best releases collaboration-wise while throwing their own hat in the ring a fair share of times. While half of their output is still dedicated to making the Tokyo store opening something big, it seems the other was busy preparing a full pack of Jordan Brand exclusives to close out the year with a bang. Themed around the past, present, and the future, the upcoming releases tackle three different silhouettes — the Air Jordan 1, Mars 270, and Proto Max 720 — in a core palette that is not too dissimilar to the ghost’s of Ebenezer Scrooge’s horror. With a little boost from Wizards rookie Rui Hachimura alongside, it seems the international retailer is pulling out all the stops.

Starting where it all began, though dialed down to a Mid, the AJ1 prepares the most amount of color as it adds in doses of red at the top line and various accenting points, leaving the rest of the suedes and smooth leathers alone in their smooth grey and sail, respectively. Then, lying right in between the aforementioned and the following, the Mars 270 equips with what was once Nike’s poster boy of Air Max tech though in the loose likeness of some of the Jumpman’s most iconic silhouettes. Various lined textures sit right along its Frankenstein’d cage with all else surprising quiet visually, a trope followed by even the Proto Max 720 whose cushioning tints with nothing and whose synthetic upper only jumps out by way of its usual texture. Clean, however, the last pair, which is touted as the culmination of the entire pack, brings celebrations to a close with a blank slate on which the new year can more vibrantly color in.
