The last months of 2019 haven’t been the most eventful for the Air Max 95 — save for a luxurious Italian makeover by Supreme and the terry cloth kit of Loopwheeler’s making — but with 2020 on the horizon, it seems Nike is getting a bit more adventurous as they flesh out a vast series of inspirations: their latest homage based on the beloved tonality of retro ACG. And as is fitting of its moniker (All Conditions Gear), it would be a travesty only to include aesthetics, of which the model bears in spades alongside a winterized upgrade. Marked as such at the heel, the upper’s switch in and out between warm-leaning pastels, outfitting the lowermost layers with an alluring mix of reds in two varieties; then, just along the top, the spectrum dips to a slightly darker exposure, opting for a smooth, sommelier-approved bordeaux at the top line’s mesh, lace unit, and tongue while placing just a below a technical strip of black synthetic. Completed by the classic hiking man tag, the pair continues the pack, releasing likely at Nike.com and select retailers within the coming months.
