Run D.M.C. x adidas Superstar Rumored For April 2020 Release

With the arrival of the adidas Superstar‘s 50th Anniversary, it’d be a waste not to bring along the rap group that made it what it is today. From rocking full Three Stripes attire head-to-toe to cementing the classic silhouette’s cult status via “My Adidas,” Run D.M.C became the unofficial-turned-official poster boy of the brand and 2020 does not make light of that one bit. Set for release later this season, the trio’s very own collaborative Superstar 50s are set to hit the scene, sporting three total color options: one of a Black/Footwear White/Hi-Res Red, the next a Footwear White/Core Black/Hi-Res Red, and the last the same scheme though what is said to be different model — possibly one of a high-top cut. Likely keeping things compos mentis, the execution is sure to be relatively retro in simple monochromatic color blocking with the hip-hop legends’ blocked logo stamping somewhere along the side, insole, heel, tongue, or any combination of all of the above. Sit tight for closer looks and official dates, but as of right now, pairs are rumored to be releasing this April for a retail of $150 USD.

UPDATE (07/17/2020):
The Run-D.M.C x adidas Superstar has experienced a number of delays, though should still be launching in 2020.
