The 997 — which took home praise via its Aime Leon Dore collaboration — is padding out the calendar with general releases aplenty — the latest foregoing red accents in favor of its direct tonal opposite. This “OGA Blue” color seats in the typically luxe suede mudguards as well as the entire heel counter, contrasting against a relatively neutral backdrop. Side panels and rubber molds just behind affix in two variations of grey– one a somewhat more true to NB form and the other a lighter and smoother finish — while the white base switches up between mesh and an extremely textural pebbled leather at the tongue.
