Following up the return of the Air Jordan 1 in all its ’85 glory, Jordan Brand has forgone taking a breather as it adds yet another variation of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe into the mix: a Jordan 1 Mid in “Spruce Aura.”
Unlike the Jordan 1 Low, who’s recently enjoyed some time in the spotlight in signature reds and “University Blue,” the mid-top silhouette has historically undergone much wilder treatments like last month’s Jordan 1 Mid “Flashing Lights” or an upcoming “Lightbulb/Team Orange” pair reminiscent of Melody Ehsani‘s contribution to the “Fearless Ones” collection. And while not as experimental as aforementioned takes, this newly surfaced women’s iteration also employs an unconventional approach as it presents the Jordan 1 Mid in a far-from-OG color scheme and construction; Light greens and white divvy up toe boxes, lace guards, heel panels, and more, which all boast an atypical canvas twill construction. Branding across the upper gets both the “Spruce Aura” and fabric treatment, but the ball-and-wings insignia on the lateral ankle sports a slight fraying. Bottom halves match their top counterparts in a white midsole/pastel green outsole combination.
No release information is yet known for this women’s Jordan 1 Mid, but a Spring-time drop on Nike.com is probable. Until then, enjoy a closer look at this pair here below.
