The Nike Air Max 1 “London” Features The Thames River On The Heel

You may have noticed that Nike pulled back on the Air Max 1 a bit, leaving room on store shelves for the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90, the sudden resurgence of Air Max 95 colorways, and the never-ending stream of 97 drops. On March 19th, the One that started it all will make a resounding return with the release of the Air Max 1 “City Pack”, with this grey/blue mix nodding to a city that has been true to the trainer since the beginning. The selection of the color palette for the Air Max 1 “London” seems like an obvious nod to the cloudy atmosphere of the city, while more straightforward nods to the metropolis can be seen via the outline of the Thames on the heel (a detail also seen on the SB Dunk Low “London” of 2005). More obscure tributes are seen via the circular embroidery near the forefoot Swoosh as well as a large pin on the medial. Again, this premium City Pack drop is set to release on March 19th, so check below for the full official images.

In other Air Max news, the Air Max 90 “Reverse Duck Camo” is set for an Air Max Day drop, while the Undefeated Air Max 90 has been revealed in three styles.
