Nike’s Almost-Banned ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% Is Coming Soon In “Valerian Blue”

Nike’s Almost-Banned ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% Is Coming Soon In “Valerian Blue”

The controversial Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% won’t break records at the Tokyo Olympics this summer given that the event has been postponed. Yet, the revolutionary runner is giving the world a glimpse at some of its colorways scheduled before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Akin to the forthcoming Air Zoom BB, AlphaFly NEXT% and Zoom ViperFly, uppers on the almost-banned model are clad in “Valerian Blue” and “Black.” The ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT%‘s transparent VaporWeave, however, highlights the former. Grid patterns throughout work in tandem with “Vapour Green” trimmed profile Swooshes to add visual bulk to the lightweight mesh. Asymmetrical lace guards feature an oily purple reminiscent of the Air Penny V “Invisibility Cloak.” The eggplant hue also takes over part of the full-length, carbon-fiber plate-infused “Vapour Green” midsole.

Enjoy official images of this ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% here below while you wait for pairs to arrive to Nike.com on April 20th.
