Jovani Hernandez The Nike Space Hippie line continues The Swoosh’s journey towards sustainability tomorrow, July 16th, with three “Grey/Volt Glow” releases.
While missing from tomorrow’s drop, the women’s Space Hippie 04 has previously donned fluorescent green accents. Its “trash transformed” kin – the Space Hippie 01, Space Hippie 02, and Space Hippie 03 – however, has not, and will do so in slightly different arrangements. The shortest silhouettes of the trio maintain their inaugural, subtly colored Space Yarn uppers, but also boast black accents instead of off-white ones. Lateral Swooshes and exposed stitching interrupt the greyscale color scheme on both models, though the 01 also features blue laces.
By comparison, tomorrow’s Space Hippie 03 sports “Volt Glow” textile across the forefoot, midfoot, medial ankle, and heel. Additionally, the tallest silhouette of the Space Hippie collection features a bright tie-dye base for its FastFit tightening system, which was left in a cream color on debut pairs. Straps at the midfoot and spine indulge in a light chambray-reminiscent hue, unlike “EJECT” mechanisms and sole units. Instead, they opt for a light grey scheme laden with colorful Grind, just as the Crater Foam bottoms on tomorrow’s 01 and 02 releases.
