Detailed Look At The Off-White x Air Jordan 5 “Sail”

feature image

Teased last week to the public’s surprise, Off-White — while already quite busy with their forthcoming Air Jordan 4 — has prepared yet another collaborative Air Jordan 5 release for just a bit down the road. Leaked yet again though with more depth, the pair reveals its close connection to the “Plot Twist” colorway revealed by Virgil Abloh days after All-Star Weekend. In relation to the whole, the most overt similarity is the upper as nearly every accent arrives near 1:1. Red “23” stamps and similarly fashioned “Nike Air” logos show a reduced imprint underneath their synthetic shell, while the cages and the collar reuse the hole-centric motifs of the designer’s current interest — both intended to be cut out by those brave enough. Tongues finish with red Jumpman embroidery and silver metallic, leaving a sense of familiarity in tandem with the black-dyed sole mimics the famed “Fire Red” just tweaked with yellowed treads. Grab yet another peek at these right here and expect word on their official release date to surface soon.

In other news, the Green Grateful Dead Dunk hits skate shops July 24th.
