Though many would prefer to regret all of 2020, the year has been relatively kind in the way of sneaker releases. Jordan Brand especially has kept up the momentum, dropping Air Jordan 1s, Air Jordan 3s, and more back-to-back. And though there’s still nowhere to go, more pairs are on the way for later this month, including the Air Jordan 5 “Oregon.”
Pictured in better detail more recently, the pair shines the classic silhouette through a filter of overt UO pride — something the brand’s “Apple Green” dubbing attempts to quiet down. The signature shade works its way into the majority of the upper, the suede paneling brightly toned along the toe cap, side profile, ankle, and counter. Underneath, the cage is filmed with black synthetic, matching that of the laces and eye stays as well as the tongue whose material is likely somewhat reflective. Bits of yellow at the heel then round off the connection to the aforementioned university while the branded patch at the heel more universally nods to college sports.
Grab a close-up peek at these here and expect a release to arrive at Nike.com and select retailers on September 12th.
