3M And Nike Adds High-Vis Reflective To A Hazardous Air Force 1

3M And Nike Adds High-Vis Reflective To A Hazardous Air Force 1

Rather that partner up with a streetwear retailer or influencer in the fashion/creative space, the Nike Sportswear team has expressed their interest this season in linking up with consumer goods manufacturing company 3M to have them upgrade a selection of Swoosh silhouettes. Recently, we’ve seen the two reveal forthcoming variations such as the React Vision, Air Max 90, and, Air Force 1 React, and Air Force 1, and now, they’re about to welcome in another member to join their ranks.

Unlike the previous renditions that have been previewed, this particular makeup is executed with a much louder approach. Applied to its leather base arrives a “Total Orange” exterior – a possible nod to construction worker jackets — as well as a high-vis reflective paneling affixed to regions such as the heel overlays where they are most pronounced, the Swooshes, and the lower throat. Elsewhere, neutral tones of black coat the throat and sock liners, while bright white finishes outfit the sole units. Scroll down to view a closer look, and expect these to hit Nike.com in the coming weeks for $110.

For other news, the Kobe 5 Protro Heart arrives on 9/18.
