It makes sense that the Swoosh would play off the NBA franchise’s team colors considering that they are based out of San Francisco, a destination widely known for its thriving hippie movement in the 1960s. Morever, its motif is further expressed through symbols such as the embroidered smiley faces atop the heels and boney peach signs printed on the inserts.
