The Air Jordan Reign, one of the few women’s exclusives in the brand’s repertoire, is a perfect example of their newfound design language, one that fuses together elements both old and brand new. An effective love letter to the classics with pink-colored ink, the silhouette’s latest colorway opts for a floral Guava Ice hue like the Union collaboration and GRs before it.
But while the aforementioned added extra bits of color and accents, the offering here prefers a more tonal interpretation. The tone is worked into nearly every exterior element — especially the Air Jordan 13 inspired upper in its mixed-up material composition of mesh and suede. Its pinks do appear somewhat distinct from panel to panel, however, as the toe box’s dual layers add a subtle darkened tint up to the tongue’s lace shield and its ostensibly waterproof zipper. Elsewhere, the emblem along the profile is made hot pink, the supports at the forefoot and heel are filtered lighter, and the Vapormax sole contrasts in a colorless see-through finish.
Grab a detailed look at these here and expect a release to arrive soon at Nike.com and likely a select batch of retailers.
