It’s no secret that the Nike Air Max Plus is one of the most beloved silhouettes in the Swoosh’s 1990s run of trainers, especially among enthusiasts in the UK and Australia. What may be somewhat surprising, however, is that the Tuned Air-cushioned model was succeeded by a version two of sorts that’s yet to see the retro treatment – until this year.
Rumored to return in a slew of colorways beginning Holiday 2020, the Air Max Plus II has recently appeared on calendars across Europe for a November 19th release date in an of-the-era “Valor Blue/Ghost Green/Deep Royal Blue” arrangement. As with its predecessor, the 2000-proposition features a high-vis gradient finish across its profile TPU overlays. The mesh that covers the upper further indulges in transitioning shades, but its arguably overshadowed by the shimmering “Eggplant” reminiscent panels that appear at the heel; heel structures follow suit in the purplish tone, and sit right above an aggressive Air Max unit-variant. Underfoot, tread boasts the pair’s palette, although it heavily favors black tooling.
Enjoy a closer look at this sneaker here below, as you wait to secure your pair from European retailers on November 19th.
