Neon Green and Throwback Vibes Found On The adidas Response CL

Going into 2021, it is more than likely that the retro-runner trend will continue. As we continue to see more chunky silhouettes inspired by the ’90s and mid-2000s, adidas is hopping on the dad shoe train as well with an upcoming Response CL in a colorway comparable to a throwback favorite that’s making a return: the Air Max 95 “Neon”.

The gray and white mesh uppers are complemented by black and gray synthetic overlays for a grayscale look found on many late-’90s to mid-2000s runners. An adiprene-cushioned midsole creates the bulky look essential to the aesthetic of retro runners. A neon green “Solar Slime” shade is used sparingly throughout, found as accents on the heel and midsole. The pair will be available at adidas.com and select retailers beginning December 11th; see the store list below.
