The epic tales behind the most celebrated Air Jordans in history are based on moments forever frozen in time, and few can tell the stories quite like the Air Jordan 3. Mixed-media artist Matthew Senna has made a name for himself through the years for his sculptures, taking this “frozen in time” concept literally through a bronzing or casting process, as seen here by his project from back in 2014. He returns to the famed silhouette for a collaborative release and exhibit called Study 003 at Stadium Goods Chicago, offering concrete, white resin, and – a Senna first – silver plated exclusively through the globally renowned marketplace.
Each of the three variations are limited in number and differ in price – $495 for the white resin cast, $595 the cement concrete, and $7,500 for the silver plated. Each sculpture is packaged inside a custom box with foam inserts, a magnetic clasp closure system, and a co-branded individually signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
While a limited batch of these AJ3 sculptures was first made available as a hidden drop through ComplexLand, the bulk of the availability is exclusive to Stadium Goods online beginning on Monday, December 14th. If you’re in the Chicago area, you can see the sculptures in the first-ever exhibit as part of a 200-sculpture presentation exclusively at the Stadium Goods Chicago store.
