Michael Le In the past year, Stray Rats’ relationship with New Balance has taken the next step, their collaborative releases increasing in cadence long after the debut of their ever-popular 990v3. And following an official DC-sponsored revival, the brand has since explored less commonly used silhouettes: first the 827, now the 574.
The more price-accessible model is to arrive in two complementary colors, each also marked atop with some signature Stray Rats insignia. Alongside some portrayals of their sewer crawling mascot, the imprint features aggressively styled interlocked embroideries and even some subtle stars of anarchy. Elsewhere, the suede and nylon construction relies near solely on its loud scheme, one that opts for either an arrangement of both dark and light green or a floral mix of deep reds and hot pinks.
