It took five years for adidas to deliver a true sequel to the game-changing Ultraboost model? Why? Because the brand opted to make slight modifications to the original “1.0” model rather than execute a complete re-design at the behest of consumers who simply couldn’t get enough of the shoe. The Ultraboost 21 now makes it two straight years of new chapters, so we’re hoping this becomes an annual practice because it would be a shame to see the Ultraboost franchise lose steam.
But on February 4th, adidas will certainly make a big splash as it plans to introduce the latest iteration in a series of colorways, none as eye-catching, gripping, and potentially off-putting like this “Triple Red” concoction. The “Vivid Red” floods the entire knit upper, exterior cage, and boost, with the only contrast appearing on the hits of black on the forefoot plate as well as the skeletal make-up of the sole.
Again, the adidas Ultraboost 21 will see a wide launch on February 4th in a series of colorways for men and women – this “Triple Red” included. Expect an MSRP of $180 at the retailers listed below.
