After images of the Nike Dunk Low “Michigan” surfaced not too long ago, the Swoosh seems to be showcasing Wolverines spirit on other propositions. The Air Max 95 is another model to be getting the navy and gold treatment, also incorporating 3M details.
To balance the colors that will be used throughout, the model sees a white base and matching midsole. In true Wolverines fashion, the leather toe and half of the wavy overlays are covered in navy. This dark blue shade is also applied to the tongue and lace loops. For contrast, the navy overlays sandwich gold and silver reflective ones to further the Michigan color palette. Reflective materials are found on the heel tab and down the tongue as well. Above the colorway, however, is the appearance of a AIR MAX logo on the insole – one that was widely used throughout the mid-1990s as Nike literally expanded its Air into larger volume units.
Expect these to drop at Nike.com and at the retailers listed below in the near future for $170.
In other Air Max news, the VaporMax Plus is returning in a red and white makeup.
