Michael Le There’s no questioning the New Balance 327‘s significance. With its strong roster of general releases and collaborations, the silhouette has easily brought its hype into 2021. In the next few months, we’re to see much more as well, including further iterations from CASABLANCA as well as this intricately constructed “Golden Poppy” GR.
Similar to SBTG’s take on the silhouette quite a few months back, the offering employs a scheme that’s seemingly informed by both tropical and militaristic influences. Along the outer halves, the upper first leads with a khaki-toned ripstop that’s overlaid by greyed suedes and dark black textured leathers. Below, the midsole is treated to a neutral cement finish, contrasting that of the orange dressed directly opposite on the medial. What’s more, the latter also alternates near all of the construction, with black now outfitting the base, neutral canvas the toe, olive hits the top eye stay, and more.
