UNC Tar Heels Football Gets An Air Jordan 5 PE Covered In Elephant Print

UNC Tar Heels Football Gets An Air Jordan 5 PE Covered In Elephant Print

University Blue is a bit of a trending topic in the world of Air Jordans, with both the University Blue Jordan 1 and the Air Jordan 4 “UNC” set to arrive at retail in March. Whetting the appetites of Tar Heel fans is this incredible Air Jordan 5 PE revealed by UNC Football featuring that signature carolina blue with navy blue accents on the forefoot and tongue. Separating this Air Jordan 5 from other PEs of the past is the full coverage of elephant print; the pattern, made famous by Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan 3, is etched entirely on the upper, reminding us of Jordan Brand’s experimental Jordan 3Lab5 from many years ago. Replacing the Jumpman logo on the suede over-sized tongue is the UNC school logo, while Nike Air is proudly embroidered onto the heel.

Of course a release is never happening, but this does open the discussion of a future Air Jordan 5 PE-style release like we’ve seen in the Jordan 5 Oregon and Jordan 5 Michigan. Feast your eyes on the full photo set below.
