Melting Sadness Prepares Two Upcoming adidas Superstars With Chenille And Felt Patches

Though relatively new to the collaborative adidas family, China’s Melting Sadness quickly took up the mantle left empty since Jeremy Scott‘s departure from the brand. Their Superstar offered in October of last year was a spectacle deserving of such a comparison, with bunny ears and complementing motifs worked into the beloved Three Stripes classic. Now, for Spring 2021, the Zhang Quan helmed label is back once more to dress the shell toe in a “BEE WITH YOU” themed design.

Currently slated to release on Valentine’s Day, the collaborative capsule will be offered in two different palettes. The first, which is primarily hued in white, is embellished atop with a number of boldly-colored chenille and felt accessories. Florals hang off the forward half of the lace unit as well as the back heel, while larger leaves shroud the construction adjacent in appropriate green shades. Opposite, the accompanying colorway bleeds the saturation out of many of these fixtures, most — aside from the included, slightly misshapen hearts — lensed to match the light cream coloring found along the underlying foundation.

Finished with a special, bee-marked logo hit, both pairs are set to arrive this February likely at select retailers and adidas.com.
