The New Balance 327 was surely destined to garner the attention of both savvy and casual sneaker enthusiasts thanks to its retro-inspired design and accessible price point. Yet, it’s important to acknowledge how perfectly a debut collaboration with Charaf Tajer’s Casablanca panned out. Soon, both brands are adding another tally to their growing catalog, only this time the product features a monogram from the high-fashion label.
Akin to previous joint-efforts, the forthcoming pair indulges in a premium, perforated leather base that sets the stage for a number of accents throughout the upper. Textile overlays around the forefoot and heel deliver not only functional reinforcement, but fashionable flair to the “ultimate leisure shoe,” as marketing material has touted New Balance‘s low-top option. Lateral side “N” logos forgo any intricate motif, but don an eye-catching pastel combination of their own. Elsewhere, trail-inspired tooling opts into a vibrant green style, while EVA foam midsoles harken back to yesteryear with their semi-yellowed makeup.
Enjoy detailed images of Casablanca’s latest footwear collaboration ahead, and find pairs arriving on CasablancaParis.com on February 27th and select retailers on March 5th.
