Currently touted as “the best show in basketball” by the ever-animated Stephen A. Smith, Kyrie Irving has recently been linked to another Nike Kyrie 7 collaboration with none other than Concepts. For the latest joint-effort, the Boston-based boutique has revisited Ikhet inspiration seen on Irving’s fifth signature sneaker in 2018.
Effectively divided between upper and sole unit, the arrangement applied to the forthcoming pair boasts contrasting aqua and orange tones. Composite textile construction throughout the shoe’s top-half indulges in the former hue, and is accompanied by both Concepts branding and ancient Egyptian iconography. The lateral mid-foot wall dons a shimmering swoosh logo comprised of feather-reminiscent components, while the medial side feature an Eye of Horus (commonly confused with the Eye of Ra that appeared on the Kyrie 5). Underfoot, tooling forgoes any of the symbols that complement the eye-stays and sock-liners, but partake in a vibrant color scheme sure to garner attention of its own.

Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the Air Jordan 3 “Georgetown” arrives on March 20th.
Updated April 22nd, 2021: Concepts has revealed a short teaser on the upcoming collaboration, possibly featuring Kyrie’s sister Asia Irving.
