Although the adidas NMD is no longer at the peak of its popularity, it had already cemented itself as one of the brand’s most hyped silhouettes in the 2010s. In time for the franchise’s fifth anniversary, the Three Stripes is giving new life to some of its most iconic releases. Case in point: an upcoming adidas NMD R1 Primeknit that boasts a color scheme nearly identical to that featured on the adidas NMD OG.
Uppers are entirely constructed of black Primeknit textile, even void of lace cages and overlays for the side stripes. Instead, the stripes opt for a barely-there look via black stitches. In true NMD fashion, the pair offers a flexible, sock-like fit and a comfy, foam Boost midsole. The signature plugs on the sole unit are in red and blue, reminiscent of the first-ever pair to be released. A black rubber outsole underfoot completes the nostalgia-evoking design.
The NMD R1 Primeknit can be yours when they release on March 11th at adidas.com.
In other news under the Three Stripes umbrella, the Yeezy 700 V3 “Kyanite” is also arriving this month.
