In Nike’s case, iconic colorways are interchangeable, many often dressing silhouettes adjacent to the original. This forthcoming Air Max Plus is further evidence of this as it borrows the Air Max 1’s signature “Sport Red” style.
As such, the colorway is quite simple, relying on the same three tones the original previously employed. Mesh fabrics, both at the upper and lining, are left a white neutral, while the hardshell cages over top lightly contrast in a grey finish. The lace unit is outlined by a similar drab shade, though the tongue and strings themselves prefer the lighter of the aforementioned two. Elsewhere, the Swoosh and the toe box are accented with the titular “Sport Red,” matching the shiny leather fixtures that score the profile from the toe around to to the counter.

In other news, the Air Max 90 Bacon is returning at the end of the month.
